Cities compete with each other in the process of attracting people (residents), resources and the business community, and local, regional and national administration representatives are increasingly involved in defining brands and implementing a branding strategy
At the conference “Branding – Creating Better Places for People and Businesses“ which will will take place on 26 March, 2019 at Hotel Falkensteiner in Belgrade, starting at 10.30h, international and domestic experiences will be presented in branding of regions, cities and municipalities.
The conference is organized in cooperation with the Development Agency of Serbia (DAS), the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM), the Serbian Association of Regional Development Agencies (SARRA), and the project “Rural and Regional Development Support to Serbia” (RRDS), supported by the Swiss Government and implemented by a consortium of partners NIRAS, Polish Rural Forum and Partner Solutions.
In Europe, the leader in branding is Sweden, the region in this area is the leading RDA Istra, and in Serbia the first successful steps in the field of branding are made by REDAPS and RARIS.
In addition to the experience of the RRDS project, the experiences of municipalities and regions from Sweden, Istria and Switzerland will also be presented.
